Sony quite carefully guarded the specification of the new tablet, which it is to present during the IFA in Berlin. Despite this, to the network there has already leaked some technical data, as well as the name of the new model: Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact.
The name reveals that it will be a hardware with a diagonal smaller than 10 inches. According to conservative estimates, we can bet the diagonal approx. 8 inches. Unfortunately, the source of information is not clear about it, there is given only screen resolution, amounting to 1920x1080 pixel. It is also known that the IPS matrix will be used. The new Sony tablet is to use the same system as Xperia Z2 Tablet - Snapdragon 801, but this time in a slightly accelerated version MSM8974AC. The system will be supported by 3 GB of RAM, while the built-in ROM is 16 GB. On the list of equipment there will also be the camera Exmor RS with 8 megapixel matrix, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0, and a battery with a capacity of between 4500 and 5000 mAh. There will be also a version of the device enriched with LTE modem. Similarly, as so far, the tablet will have a waterproof housing. The source service also mentions the interesting accessories and additional software package that will be presented along with Z3 Tablet Compact.
