The French company Wiko is preparing a launch of a new flagship model. A top smartphone Wiko – called Mazing – will be shown during the MWC convention, which will be held at the beginning of March in Barcelona. Wiko is one of the sponsors of this event.
This rather premature leak is probably a result of the fact that Wiko’s logo will be highly visible during this MWC. So we have a lot of time to get used to the idea that such a series convention is sponsored by a rather small (yet) manufacturer. But let us get back to the phone. Mazing (which is probably short from “amazing””) will receive a 5.2-inch display and a MediaTek MT6595 CPU – the same that can be found in Meizu MX4, which scores high in benchmarks. Wiko Mazing has aluminum housing, a biometric scanner, a 20-megapixel main and an 8-megapixel front camera. We can – almost certainly – assume that the device will support LTE and will work under Android 5.0 Lollipop.
What is interesting is that the phone has already been presented to a handful of experts during IFA 2014 convention in Berlin. However, in September it was still in the prototype phase and could not be shown to a wider audience.
