Honor, the brand originating from China – behind which, in fact, stands Huawei - celebrated today the first anniversary of its existence on the market. We went to Beijing - where the ceremony took place. At the conference there was no champagne, cake and candles. There were, however, new devices Honor 6 Plus and Honor 4X.

The ceremony began with several short films. The images showed us young, ambitious, confident persons. People who share a passion, overcome problems ultimately reaching success. Clearly, the Honor company wants to appear as a young wolf of mobile technology industry. Though probably because of origin, they think more about the young tiger.

As it was a birthday, there were the distinguished guests. And so, the on stage appeared, among others, John Kim - (Director of Branding Verticals, Google Greater China), Jeff Liu (President, Huawei Honor), Joe Peng (VP, Huawei Honor) and Richard Yu (CEO, Huawei Consumer BG) . Let's look at the phones that were presented at the conference by beautiful girls.

The star of the presentation was Honor 6 Plus. This smartphone features a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display and octa-core Huawei Kirin 925 processor with four cores A15 clocked at1.8 GHz and four cores A7 1.3 Ghz and graphics Mali T628MP4. All of this supports 3 GB of RAM. The phone has 16 GB of internal memory, but it can be expanded by a further 128 GB using a microSD card. The power supply provides a battery with a capacity of 3600 mAh, while LTE module Cat. 6 provides data transfer rates of up to 300 Mb/s. The phone battery can be used to charge other devices – there was provided the function of power-bank. Honor 6 Plus runs on Android KitKat, but of course the company received an interface overlay Emotion UI 3.0. All was sealed in a slim housing with an innovative cooling system and the rear panel of seven layers of glass with a very high strength. The housing measures 150.46 x 75.68 x 7.5 mm and weight of the phone is 165 g.

During the presentation, the emphasis was placed on the camera phone... actually two cameras with focal F0.95 - F16. The Honor's dual camera with an 8-megapixel matrix gives 13-megapixel photos, also three-dimensional. The combination of two matrices gives a better lit pictures, but that's not all. An important advantage of the dual camera is also swift action when the focus is set at 0.1 seconds. The camera supports the dual LED flash providing better illumination of dark backgrounds. The smartphone will be available in a single-SIM variant (for 258 euro) and DualSIM - for 322 euro. For now, the phone has not been provided for distribution outside of Asia.

The second presented phone was already known Honor 4X. This one - fortunately - will be offered in Europe. It is a 5.5-inch machine wita the HD display, which uses (contrary to earlier rumours) Snapdragon 410 processor. The system is controlled by a 1.2 GHz clock and Adreno 306 graphics aided by 2 GB of RAM. The smartphone has only 8 GB of internal memory, but also supports memory cards up to 32 GB. The smartphone also received a 13-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel front webcam. The device controlled by Android 4.4 KitKat 3.0 interface Emotion UI has the battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. The price will be around 4X. 200 euro.
