Without a global publicity, Samsung unveiled in Asia a new tablet Galaxy Tab E. The device appeared in several large leaks a few days ago, but now it is announced officially.
As previously announced, Samsung Galaxy Tab E has a 9.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a 1.3 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC8830 processor, supported by 1.5 GB of RAM. The tablet is also equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS/Glonass.
Samsung does not mention on the product pages the internal memory capacity, it refers only to the presence of a microSD card slot with capacity up to 128 GB. The device is powered by a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh.
Interestingly, the tablet at the start received an elderly Android 4.4 Kitkat, and there did not show up the information about the prospects for its update. As a consolation, the buyer will receive a pre-installed package of Microsoft applications, namely OneNote, Office, OneDrive and Skype. Facilities will complement the 5-megapixel camera and 2-megapixel front webcam. The tablet first will hit stores in Taiwan, and its price - after conversion - is to oscillate in the vicinity of 200 euro. For now, the Samsung's Taiwan branch is silent on the version with 3G modem.
