We were expecting the launch of the second generation Samsung Galaxy A for a long time - and we lived to see it. Here - officially - Samsung Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 versions (2016).
The Galaxy A series models are fairly closely related with each other. They have similar shapes of housing, as well as Android 5.1 Lollipop and the same sets of cameras (13 + 5 megapixels). The main 13-megapixel cameras have an optical image stabilization, and (as the front ones) bright F1.9 lens. All Galaxy A have also modules GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC and Bluetooth 4.1. Galaxy A5 and A7 support LTE Category 6, while the smallest A3 - Cat.4. But there are more differences...

The smallest and cheapest model in the new series is Galaxy A3. This is a smartphone with a 4.7-inch SuperAMOLED HD screen and the processor with four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and supported by 1.5 GB of RAM. The phone also has 16 GB of flash memory, a microSD card slot and a battery with a capacity of 2300 mAh. The dimensions of the phone are 134.5 x 65.2 x 7.3 mm, weight - 132 g, and the price - 330 euro.

The role "of the middle one" in series A plays Galaxy A5, priced at 400 euro. Here we have the octa-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and a 5.2-inch SuperAMOLED FullHD display. Unfortunately, we still have 16 GB of internal memory, but a bit bigger battery capacity - 2900 mAh. In this model dimensions are 144.8 x 71 x 7.3 mm and weight 155 g.

The role of the flagship and also the largest model of the new family took over Galaxy A7. This is a strong phone with a 5.5-inch FullHD display, octa-core 1.6 GHz processor and up to 3 GB of RAM. In the set we have a large battery capacity of 3300 mAh and unfortunately still only 16 GB of memory - fortunately expandable with a microSD card. The phone measures 151.5 x 74.1 x 7.3 mm and weighs 172 g and costs 460 euro.
All three models will be available globally by the end of the year, and their metal-glass housings will be offered in several colours.
