According to the announcement, a windows based smartphone under the brand Vaio debuted in Japan. The device is called Vaio Phone Biz – so it is probably addressed to business.
Looking at the specifications, we can actually say so. We are dealing with the correct, but not too distinctive design. Vaio Phone Biz is equipped with a 5.5-inch screen with a FullHD resolution and an octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor, supported by 3 GB of RAM. The built-in flash media is 16 GB and it is expandable with a microSD card. The phone also has a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. Thanks to the presence of Windows 10, Phone Biz supports Cortana and Windows Continuum.
Vaio Phone Biz hardly will go on sale outside Japan. On the home market it will be offered from April through the NTT DoCoMo network and its price without a contract will amount to 50 thousand yen, or approx. $ 420. DoCoMo is likely to equip the phone with its own, additional applications.

We have been associating the Vaio brand so far with computers manufactured by Sony. Since 2014 the brand doesn't belong any longer, however, to the parent company, but to the Japanese investment fund. Sony has only 5% of the shares. Vaio - in addition to smartphones - still offers mobile computers, which are available outside of Japan, among others, in the US and Brazil.
