Gionee unveiled a new model F5. It an average smartphone with an attractive design, equipped with a capacious battery and a 5.3-inch screen with the HD resolution.
Gionee F5 looks very neat. It has a metal housing, convex glass protecting the display and a large battery (4,000 mAh) and decent cameras.

Why only HD?!
Unfortunately, Gionee F5 also received a 5.3-inch IPS screen, which resolution is only HD, or 1280x720 pixels. With this diagonal HD translates into a rate of 277 ppi density, which nowadays is considered ok in the budget class, but among average phones - not necessarily. Maybe it was about the high energy efficiency...? Perhaps the manufacturer added a few better items, and savings sought on the screen? Unfortunately, we cannot determine this - but one thing is certain, the display will rather not impress us. A pity, because the phone has a gyroscope, therefore, it could be used for virtual reality. But not at this resolution...

Apart from the screen – a decent design
Too bad, because apart from the screen there is nothing to complain about. Hand in hand with nice appearance of the phone goes its interior, which is - for the middle class - fine. Gionee F5 has an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, supported by 4 GB of RAM and Mali-T860 graphics, as well as 32 GB of built-in memory, which can be enlarged with the microSD card of 128 GB. Gionee F5 addition is equipped with two cameras (13 and 8 megapixels), as well as a fingerprint reader in the "home" button. The phone supports LTE, of course, also has GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and - attention – a minijack.
