We return to the rumours about the lack of a "home" button in the iPhone 8. The analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims that the display will occupy the entire front panel of the phone, and at the bottom there will be touch panel shortcuts.
Home button disappears
Ming-Chi Kuo is known for its extremely accurate predictions about Apple devices, it can therefore be regarded as a reliable source of information. This time, he says that the new iPhone will not have the characteristic button on the front panel, and this will be entirely occupied by a large display.
No bezels
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the bezels around the screen will be completely eliminated in the iPhone 8. The screen will have a diagonal of 5.8 inches. Removing bezels make the new iPhone with a 5.8-inch screen will have dimensions similar to the previous generation of 4.7-inch screens.
Additional touch panel
That's not all. The screen with a resolution of 2800x1242 px will be divided into zones. Working surface will have a diagonal of 5.1 inches and a resolution of 2436x1125 px and the rest of the display will be developed through a customizable touch panel. It is possible that there will appear on it abbreviations or that it will act as an additional touchpad.
The new type of protection?
The enlargement of the screen and the elimination of a button linked to the lack of ... a fingerprint scanner. Its role will take over the iris scanner or facial recognition system, it is said about the possibility of built-in fingerprint scanner in a display, because - as we know - Apple is working on such a solution. At this point, the rumour about the price of up to a thousand dollars also swells. Such an innovative phone cannot be cheap.
