The Chinese benchmarking platform presented a ranking of the top ten faked smartphones in 2019. The ranking was dominated by Samsung smartphones (28.7%), followed by devices from Apple (15.88%).
Samsung W2018 has the largest number of fakes - this flip model is one of the more popular models in China, so it's not a surprise. The fake Samsung W2018 model was detected 4688 times. Next in the order are iPhone 8 (4445 pieces) and iPhone XS Max in third place (2499 cases). Other models include iPhone X, Samsung W2019, Galaxy S8+, Xiaomi Mi Max, Mi 9, OPPO R11 Plus and OnePlus 7 Pro. On the whole, a total of 6,639,704 smartphones were tested using the Master Lu app. Out of this, 57,790 units of various models were detected to be fake.
