There has never been such a launch of the iPhone. No conference, no show on stage - but finally there is a new, compact smartphone from Apple. What does it look like and what does it offer?
Apple iPhone SE 2020 is literally a little thing. It has a screen of 4.7 inches, which makes an impression no smaller than 10 years ago. Then we would have called it a giant - and today it is shocking in quite the opposite way. But it is this size (or rather: smallness) of the display that is to attract customers to this model. The IPS display of the new iPhone SE has a resolution of 1334x750 pixels, which gives a satisfactory pixel density of 326 ppi. The screen has a contrast of 1400: 1 and a brightness of 625 nits.

The heart of the new iPhone SE is the Apple A13 Bionic processor, compiled from a 64, 128 or 256 GB flash memory. Apple traditionally does not give the amount of memory - but you can suspect it is 4 GB. The smartphone is equipped with a 12-megapixel main camera with f/1.8 aperture and a sapphire slide and a 7-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera records 4K movies in 60 fps, while the front camera, as standard - Full HD in 30 fps. Apple - apart from RAM - "forgot" to give the battery capacity, describing its capabilities as "similar to the iPhone 8". Fortunately, fast 18 W charging and induction charging have not been forgotten.

The housing dimensions are determined at 138.4x67.3x7.3 mm, and there will be three colour versions to choose from: white, black and (PRODUCT) RED. In all cases the front of the phone is black, but that's good because the screen is surrounded by a monstrous - by today's standards - frame. An "ancient" Touch ID fingerprint reader was placed on the frame, below the screen, while the Face ID used in Apple's higher-rated models is missing. iPhone SE (because that's what Apple calls it) has iOS 13, IP67 and weighs 148 g. Prices, depending on the selected flash memory, are 229, 279 and 379 dollars.
