HTC today announced the international availability of HTC Desire 20 Pro. The newest HTC medium phone, which has so far only been offered in Taiwan, will now enter the European thresholds.
Is it worth being interested in? Before I give you the price, we take a look at the device's capabilities. HTC Desire 20 Pro received a modern styled casing with an interesting, ribbed texture on the back. The rear wall is enriched with a classic fingerprint reader, and an oblong frame of the main camera is mounted nearby. The frame is decorated with a delicate color accent. The camera is quadruple, with the main matrix of 48 megapixels and aperture f/1.8 and a wide-angle module, with a matrix of 8 Mpx, aperture f/2.2 and field of view of 118 degrees. The other two modules have 2 megapixels and f/2.4 aperture. Their purpose is clear: macro and background blurring.

The front camera - 25 megapixels with f/2.0 aperture - is mounted in the currently fashionable display hole. And the display itself - has a diagonal of 6.5 inches and a resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. Unfortunately, this is not AMOLED, we have an ordinary TFT matrix. The heart of the phone is the Snapdragon 665 processor, supported by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, which can be enlarged with a microSD card. Power is provided by a decent battery - with a capacity of 5000 mAh with a QC 3.0 quick charging system. The equipment is completed by, among others NFC, Bluetooth 5, dual-band Wi-Fi, a minijack or DualSIM.

In Taiwan, HTC Desire 20 Pro sold so well that HTC even saw a revenue increase in June. There, the smartphone was priced at NT 8990 - around $305 (EUR 279, £269). So I am afraid that the device will not be able to repeat the success from the home country in Europe, although of course I wish HTC the best.
