Meizu 18 and 18 Pro officially presented

The Meizu company does not spoil us with new products - but it did not overlook its 18th anniversary. On this occasion, we welcome the new, anniversary models: Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro.

Meizu 18 and Meizu 18 Pro are full-blooded flagships, using Snapdragon 888 processors and offering up to 12 GB of RAM. The phones also have fingerprint readers under the screens, UFS 3.1 flash memories and a consistent - though a bit clichéd - styling. Smartphones are offered without chargers included, but (in China) Meizu will add a power supply if two old ones are returned, even out of order.

Meizu 18

Meizu 18 is the smaller of the premiere models. It has an AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3200x1440 pixels and a diagonal of 6.2 inches, with an image refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The screen is covered with glass bent on all four sides. This model is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with a quick charge of 36 W. In the photographic part we find a 20-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.2) and a triple rear camera. Its main IMX682 module has a resolution of 64 Mpx and f/1.6 aperture, while the wide-angle - 16 Mpx and f/2.2 aperture. In turn, the third camera - 8 Mpx - works with a telephoto lens giving a 3x lossless zoom.

Meizu 18 Pro

Meizu 18 Pro - as the name suggests - is the more powerful pair. It has an AMOLED 6.7-inch display - but with similar parameters to the smaller model - with the same resolution or refreshing. Glass - it is also bent the same along all sides. In Meizu 18 Pro we have a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh that can be charged by wire with a power of 40 W and wirelessly - 10 W, also with reverse charging. The selfie camera has 44 megapixels, and the rear camera is also richer than the base model. We have four matrices, but one is a ToF sensor for background effects. The main Samsung GN1 module has 50 megapixels and f/1.9 aperture, and the telephoto camera is the same as in Meizu 18. The wide-angle camera has been improved - it has a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 matrix, f/2.2 aperture and covers a field of view of up to 130 degrees, while also being able to take macro photos from a distance of just 2 cm.
