Meizu 18s, Meizu 18s Pro and Meizu 18X enter the scene!

The Meizu company presentedtoday in China the refreshed flagship of the Meizu 18 series. How do they present themselves?

The Meizu 18s series debuts with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processors, LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory, as well as Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. Ultrasonic fingerprint readers are also used, hidden under AMOLED screens. Smartphones also share several other specs - but of course they also differ by a few. The range of new products is completed by the cheaper Meizu 18X model.

Meizu 18s

Meizu 18s has a 6.2-inch display with a resolution of 3200x1440 pixels and a maximum brightness of 1300 nits. This model is powered by a 4000 mAh battery with 36 W fast charging, filling the battery in less than an hour. The basic camera in this model is a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 matrix with an f/1.6 lens and an equivalent focal length of 26 mm. Another camera (Samsung S5K3P9SX) is responsible for wide-angle and macro photos, using a 16 Mpx matrix and an f/2.4 15 mm lens. The last of the rear modules (OmniVision OV08A10) has 8 megapixels, f/2.4 aperture and an equivalent focal length of 79 mm. The set is crowned with a 20-megapixel 26 mm selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Meizu 18s Pro

In Meizu 18s Pro we find a 6.7-inch screen with a resolution of 2K and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, as well as a 4500 mAh battery with fast 40 W wired and wireless charging with the same power. This model also has a different set of cameras, including a main 50 megapixel module and a 32 Mpx wide angle. Between them there is also an 8-megapixel module with a telephoto lens, as well as a ToF sensor for background effects. The front camera is also stronger here - 44-megapixel.

Meizu 18X

Meizu 18X is a slightly more affordable proposition. It has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh, as well as a Snapdragon 870 processor and LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1 memory. The smartphone powers a 4300 mAh battery with a 30-watt charging system. In the photographic part we find a 64-megapixel 26 mm GW3 camera with f/1.79 aperture and a wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a focal length corresponding to 15 mm. They are complemented by a 2-megapixel background blur. The selfie camera has 13 megapixels and f/2.0 aperture.
