Realme 8 Pro and new accessories launched globally

Published:

The launch of the new realme smartphone is behind us - it is the Realme 8 Pro model, which is called the new youth flagship of the brand. It was accompanied by Realme 8, which is basically an add-on to the series - currently available in India. The elegant Watch S Pro smartwatch and Buds Air 2 headphones will appear in Europe.

Realme 8 Pro

This is the most important launch of today's event - the presentation of the latest flagship, which will be one of the representatives of the average (up to EUR 300) price range. Realme 8 Pro is to be a flagship for young people, attracting attention with its unconventional aesthetics with the word DARE TO LEAP on the housing. The manufacturer used an unusual Infinite Bold Design finish with an anti-reflective surface that is glossy and matte at the same time. The smartphone will be available in two colours: Infinite Blue and Infinite Black - with an inscription on the back panel, but there is also a Punk Black version, the most elegant, without the brand's slogan.

The smartphone weighs only 176 grams and is slim - its thickness is only 8.1 mm. It is equipped with a headphone jack and Hi-Res Audio certificate, support for two SIM cards and the Android 11 system, hidden under the Realme UI 2.0 overlay. However, the real star of Realme 8 Pro is the camera with many unique video modes.

The Infinite Clarity camera consists of four cameras, the main unit of which is 108MP. The Samsung Isocell HM2 sensor, which supports Smart-ISO technology, is responsible for the photos. It provides more faithful colors and a higher ISO. The producer also focused on better night photos, which is provided by the Super Nightscape algorithm, as well as an improved 3x zoom, which is to provide better photos than the actual telephoto lens and the actual optical zoom.

There are several operating modes that will improve both photos and video recording. The portraits are here - Neon portrait mode, Dynamic Bokeh portrait and AI portrait, as well as a 16-megapixel selector camera with AI Beauty and Super Nightscape modes. In turn, video recording provides the ability to record time-lapse movies with stars in the lead role (Starry Time-Lapse Video), as well as time-lapse movies in the thumbnail mode (Tilt-shift Time-Lapse Video).

Let’s add to this a great 6.4-inch SuperAMOLED screen, which provides brightness up to 1000 nits, Full HD+ resolution, AoD mode and a fingerprint scanner built into the screen. The Snapdragon 720G processor is responsible for the performance, and the energy is provided by a 4500 mAh battery that supports 50 W Super Dart Charge fast charging. In just 47 minutes, it charges the battery to 100%.

Realme 8 Pro is to be available on the market from March 31 at the price of 279 euros for the 6/128 GB version and 299 euros for the 8/128 GB version. But there will also be a presale - from March 24 to 31 - during which prices will be 20 euros lower.

Realme 8

In many ways, the Realme 8 model is similar to the Pro model. Similar design, similar equipment, the difference lies primarily in the camera - the basic model has a 64 MP main camera. The next cameras are an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (119 degrees), a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel monochrome camera. On the front, Realme 8 has the same 16-megapixel camera as the Pro variant. The screen is a Super AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.4 inches, brightness up to 1000 nits and Full HD + resolution with a built-in fingerprint reader. MediaTek Helio G95 is responsible for the performance, supported by 4 or 6 GB of RAM. 64/128 GB of UFS 2.1 memory is allocated for applications and files. A microSD card is also supported.

Realme 8 has a larger battery than the Pro model - 5000 mAh, but supports a slightly slower charge (30W). It is not known yet what the European prices will be - Realme 8 is currently available in India in three variants: 4/128 GB, which costs 14,999 rupees, 6/128 GB, which costs 15,999 rupees and 8/128 GB, which costs 16 999 rupees. Realme 8 will go on sale in India from March 25 on Flipkart, the official Realme website and in Realme partner stores.

Realme Buds Air 2

Another launch was the new, improved Realme Buds Air 2 headphones, which provide high-quality sound along with the Bass Boost+ mode. In addition, they offer Active Noise Canceling (ACN) to completely lose yourself in the music, and a transparency mode so you can hear what's going on around you.

The headphones are light - one weighs only 4.1 g. Thanks to two microphones and the ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) function, they ensure high clarity of voice. Charged, they can work for 5 hours, and with the support of the cover - up to 25 hours. Let's add IPX5, Bluetooth 5.2 and an attractive price - the headphones will cost 49.99 euros and will be available on the market until March 31 (and even 10 euros cheaper in the pre-sale offer).

Realme Watch S Pro

Today's last launch was a smartwatch with a stylish design, with a steel casing, round bezel and Gorilla Glass. It has an AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 1.39 inches, brightness up to 450 nits and a resolution of 454x454 pixels. This results in a pixel per inch density of 326 ppi. Thanks to the 420 mAh battery, it is supposed to provide up to 14 days of work.

Among the available functions, Realme Watch S Pro provides measurement of the blood oxygen saturation level, heart rate measurement and sleep monitoring. Of course, there were also functions that record user activity. There are 15 sport modes and GPS, which will come in handy during outdoor activities. It is also worth mentioning the durability of up to 5ATM, thanks to which the watch may also be interesting for swimming enthusiasts. The price of the smartwatch has been set at 129.99 euros, it will be cheaper by 20 euros in advance. It will be available for regular sale from March 31.
