We remember the last Asus smartphones thanks to the effective, tilted camera mechanism. This year's flagship could not be missing this element. Meet ZenFone 8 Flip - an interesting smartphone, which will probably remain in the shadow of the smaller brother.
Invariably, the main distinguishing feature of Asus ZenFone 8 Flip will remain an unusual and unique camera mechanism. The movable arm, powered by a precisely controlled motor, can be tilted at different angles, which opens up completely new shooting possibilities. The most important thing, however, is that when the boom is tilted 180 degrees, the rear camera becomes a selfie camera. Thanks to this, we get not only a full, frameless display without holes or indentations, but also the same camera capabilities - regardless of whether we take a selfie or photograph the landscape.

What camera do we have at our disposal? The basis is a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 matrix with an f/1.8 lens - the same as in ZenFone 8, but without optical stabilization, for which there was no space in the tilted element housing the camera. Instead, there is an IMX363 wide-angle camera (12 Mpx, f/2.2, 112 degrees), as well as an 8-megapixel OmniVision OV08A camera with a telephoto lens, giving a lossless 3x zoom and a 12x hybrid zoom. You don't have to worry about the durability of the mechanism. The manufacturer guarantees a minimum of 300,000 cycles, i.e. 150 cycles a day for over 5 years. In addition, when the phone detects the fall of the phone by the acceleration sensor, the camera instantly folds into the rest position. The lenses are protected by Gorilla Glass 3.

The Super AMOLED display provided by Samsung has a diagonal of 6.67 inches, Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Of course, under the display we find the flagship Snapdragon 888 processor and 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 flash memory. The memory can be expanded with a microSD card - regardless of the use of DualSIM. Asus ZenFone 8 Flip is powered by a 5000 mAh battery, charged with 30 W. The equipment is completed with stereo speakers. The price is 799 euros.
