Xiaomi will soon give us a budget smartphone Redmi A2. Does the low price justify elements straight from 2018...?
Redmi A2 has supposedly cost less than 97 euros. As for a smartphone - it's not much, but unfortunately the low price is followed by savings. Some are probably too exaggerated... It is obvious that Redmi A2 will work in the Android Go system based on Android 13, but in my opinion, equipping it with only 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory is a gross exaggeration. The new MediaTek Helio G36 is not the worst processor in a cheap smartphone, but with such a limited number of applications it is impossible to download and run too many applications. You will be able to increase the memory for files, but RAM will remain a bottleneck forever. Another bizarre element of the equipment is the microUSB port - fortunately, the selection of the charger will not be difficult, because the 5000 mAh battery can only be charged with 10 W.

The smartphone will lack NFC, but DualSIM and minijack will be a consolation. Photos will be provided by cameras with 5 and 8 megapixel matrices, with the rear one accompanied by a background blurr. Against this background, a plastic housing or a 6.52-inch HD+ screen are really trifles. The smartphone will appear in Europe in the coming days, but I don't think anyone will be waiting for it with shaking hands...
