The Red Magic 9 Pro gaming smartphone presented in late November in China is now available for global distribution. What are the prices?
Red Magic 9 Pro introduces a new style of gaming Nubia. The smartphone has retained its simple form, but now it looks even better thanks to the completely flat back - the cameras do not protrude above its surface. The 6.8-inch BOE Q9+ OLED display, surrounded by a narrow, symmetrical frame, is also quite impressive. This, combined with sharp corners and the lack of a hole for a selfie camera, makes the screen very impressive. The display has 10-bit colors, brightness up to 1600 nits, 120 Hz image refreshment, 960 Hz touch refreshment and 2160 Hz PWM dimming. The matrix resolution is 2480x1116 pixels, and under its surface there is not only a fingerprint reader, but also a 16-megapixel Omnivision OV16E1Q selfie camera. The heart of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, supported by LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 memories and a special co-processor supporting gaming performance - Red Core R2 PRO. The interior of the phone is cooled by an active ICE 13 system with a fan. On the back of the housing there are two 50-megapixel cameras, the main S5KGN5 with optical image stabilization and the wide-angle S5KJN1. Behind the third lens there is a 2-megapixel GC02M1 macro camera. As befits a smartphone for gamers, Red Magic 9 Pro has additional triggers for gamers with 520 Hz refresh rate, three microphones, stereo speakers, a minijack and vibration X-axis and, of course, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and USB 3.2 or an infrared transmitter. The phone runs on the Android 14 operating system with the Red Magic OS 9.0 interface. All this is powered by a 6,500 mAh battery with 80-watt charging.
