At the beginning of the year, another manufacturer disappears from the smartphone market. This time we are talking about the Bullitt Group, which we know from the production of phones and smartphones of the CAT, Land Rover, Motorola Defy, JCB, Jaguar, and previously Kodak brands.
There was a moment when Bullitt Group and its portfolio, including CAT, were one of the leaders in the segment of rugged smartphones. The company has also achieved various innovations - including: introduced thermal imaging cameras built into smartphones, as well as battleships with satellite communication. However, the last mentioned devices did not receive the most favorable reviews. Recently, there have been rumors about Bullitt Group's financial problems, and there has also been talk of a restructuring of the company, including, among others, layoffs, but also the separation of a department dealing with satellite communications. As you can see, it didn't work.
For now, the company has not issued an official statement, but many of its employees are communicating via social networks that the company has gone bankrupt and is closing its operations. For now, it is not known what will be the future of the Bullitt devices still in circulation. It is not yet possible to predict what the support for smartphones or the satellite communication services offered by the company will look like. All that remains is to wait for the official announcement. When it appears, we will update the entry.
