At the end of 2023, Vivo Watch 3 debuted together with Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro, and now on the occasion of launches of the Vivo X100s series a better variant of the familiar smartwatch is also available for sale.
The new model is known as Vivo Watch 3 ECG, which speaks for itself - now a Vivo smartwatch is equipped with an electrocardiogram function that will perform a measurement within 30 seconds and then generate a report in the application that will help identify potential health problems. Functions that allow smartwatches to perform medical measurements require additional certificates, which would delay their launch, which is why Vivo introduced Watch 3 for sale twice, in a version with or without ECG. A similar strategy is used by, among others, Samsung with Galaxy Ring.
In addition to the new function, Vivo Watch 3 ECG offers what was previously available - a 1.43-inch round AMOLED display with a resolution of 466x466, 64 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal memory and a 505 mAh battery, as well as mobile connectivity via eSIM. Its price in China is 1,699 yuan (approx. $235, €218), and when purchasing a Vivo X series smartphone, the smartwatch will be available for 1,499 yuan ($207, €192).
