Apple today unveiled the long-awaited new edition of the "budget" iPhone, the iPhone 16e. What does this smartphone offer?
iPhone 16e - previously unofficially referred to as the iPhone SE 4 - has received a completely new styling, referring to the more expensive models of the iPhone 16 series. The screen bezels and fingerprint reader have disappeared from the front. The iPhone 16e relies on Face ID lock, like other iPhone models. Unfortunately, instead of the Dynamic Island, the screen has an old-fashioned notch. It houses a 12-megapixel selfie camera with an f/1.9 aperture. The flat back is diversified by the lens of a single camera, with a 48-megapixel sensor, optical image stabilization and an aperture of f/1.6. Apple assures that this camera has an integrated 2x optical zoom, thanks to which it works basically like two cameras in one. iPhone 16e records video in 4K quality up to 60 fps in Dolby Vision format. Another breath of freshness is the multifunction Action Button, which replaced the old switch for muting notifications. iPhone 16e is resistant to water, splashes and dust and has a water resistance class of IP68.
