The mid-range tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 has officially received a successor. It's time to learn all the details.
We recently had the opportunity to see some Galaxy Tab A11 specifications on the official website, and now, with the Indian launch, we can learn the rest. There aren't many surprises, but you might appreciate the smoother 90 Hz refresh rate on the 8.7-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 13400 x 800 px. Another noteworthy change is the increased resolution of the front camera to 5 MP, which could improve the quality of video calls. The 8MP rear camera, which records Full HD video at 30 FPS, remains unchanged.
Other internal specifications look equally familiar – the battery has a capacity of 5100 mAh, charging at 15W, and the processor is a Mediatek Helio G99, with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable by up to 2TB with a microSD card. There's also a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, and the more expensive model also offers 4G mobile connectivity.
Another compelling reason to buy the new tablet (especially for those who don't own the previous model) is the Android 15 operating system with One UI 7.0. Samsung offers a whopping 7 years of system updates and security patches, meaning that if the tablet survives long enough, it could potentially even get Android 22.
