Huawei has just unveiled three new smartphones from the Pura 90 series in China, as well as the interesting, foldable Pura X Max model and an equally interesting smartwatch with retractable headphones.
Huawei Pura 90
We begin our review of the new products with the entry-level Huawei Pura 90 model. The manufacturer uses the Kirin 9010S processor, and the smartphone is powered by a 6300 mAh battery with 100-watt charging and 50-watt induction. As with the other new models, HarmonyOS 6.1 powers the system, with its interface displayed on a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 2856x1320 pixels and a 1-120 Hz refresh rate, with 300 Hz touch sampling. The smartphone is equipped with three 50-megapixel cameras: a front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture, a main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization, and a telephoto camera with an f/2.0 aperture, also with OIS. There's also a color spectrum sensor and a 12.5-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The following memory variants are available:
- 12+256 GB - 4699 yuan, $690
- 12+512 GB - 5199 yuan, $765
- 16+512 GB - 5699 yuan, $840

Huawei Pura 90 Pro
Huawei Pura 90 Pro is - interestingly - smaller, measuring 6.6 inches, with an LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 2760x1256 pixels and a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. This model, however, is powered by the Kirin 9030S processor, powered by a 6000 mAh battery with 66-watt charging and 50-watt induction. The smartphone only has a 13-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture, but the rear is more interesting. There's a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization and a variable aperture of f/1.4-4.0, but next to it are only a color sensor and an optically stabilized 50-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens with an f/2.1 aperture and macro function. It's an interesting case where the Pro variant is better than the base version in some respects, but weaker in others. We have more colors and memory versions:
- 12+256 GB - 5499 yuan, $810
- 12+512 GB - 5999 yuan, $880
- 16+512 GB - 6499 yuan, $955
- 16 GB + 1 TB - 7499 yuan, $1100

Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max
Huawei Pura 90 Pro Max has the largest screen in the series, a 6.9-inch screen with a resolution of 2880x1308 pixels. It's still an LTPO OLED matrix with a 1-120 Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by the Kirin 9030S processor. Surprisingly, the battery has a similar capacity to the smallest model in the new series – 6000 mAh – but as a consolation, charging has gained 100W and induction – 80W. We once again have a modest 13-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture, but that's already quite rich. There's a 200-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens and macro function, as well as optical stabilization and an f/2.6 aperture. The main camera remains 50-megapixel with a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4-4.0, as well as OIS. The package includes a 40-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a color sensor. The manufacturer also offers an optional, attachable telephoto lens and accessories. For this version, the memory options are:
- 12+256 GB - 6499 yuan, $955
- 12+512 GB - 6999 yuan, $1030
- 16+512 GB - 7499 yuan, $1100
- 16 GB + 1 TB - 8499 yuan, $1250
