Xiaomi's sub-brand, Poco, today unveiled two affordable smartphones with large batteries. What do POCO C81 and POCO C81x offer and how do they differ?
POCO C81 is a budget smartphone powered by a Unisoc T7250 processor, supported by a modest 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and an equally modest 64 GB of flash memory, which can fortunately be expanded with a microSD card. The smartphone features a large 6.9-inch LCD screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of brightness, but unfortunately, it only has HD+ resolution. The screen features a notch for an 8-megapixel selfie camera, while the rear houses a 13-megapixel camera with a depth sensor. The smartphone is powered by a 6300 mAh battery with 15-watt charging and 7.5W reverse power. A minijack and a side-mounted fingerprint reader round out the features. The smartphone is IP52-rated and runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3, which will receive four updates and six years of security support.

POCO C81x is simply a stripped-down version of the model described above. It has a slightly smaller, 6.88-inch screen, with a brightness of only 650 nits, and even less storage: 3+64 GB. It also has a smaller battery - 5200 mAh - and the older Android 15 system, which, however, has been promised two updates and 4 years of security patch support. The Poco C81 costs 11,000. rupees, or $115 or PLN 420, while the Poco C81x was priced a thousand rupees cheaper, or the equivalent of $105.
