Redmi has introduced another member of the Redmi Pad 2 tablet family. As the name suggests, the Redmi Pad 2 9.7 belongs to the smaller tablet category.
Redmi Pad 2 9.7 is a mid-range offering in the sub-10-inch tablet segment. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 processor, supported by 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64 or 128 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, from which an additional 4 GB of virtual RAM can be allocated. The tablet's 9.7-inch LCD screen has a resolution of 2048x1280 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a brightness of up to 600 nits. It is powered by a 7600 mAh battery with 18-watt charging. HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 runs the operating system. The tablet also has a 5-megapixel selfie camera (f/2.2), an 8-megapixel rear camera (f/2.0), stereo speakers, and a minijack. An optional LTE modem will be available. The tablet measures 226.51 x 147.97 x 7.4 mm and weighs 406 g. So far, we only know the prices for the Wi-Fi versions with 4+64 and 4+128 GB of storage, which are 549 and 599 Malaysian ringgit, respectively, or $140-155.
