Two quite attractive mid-range smartphones debuted in China at the end of 2025, and now one of them has returned with a slightly different name and identical design. What's the difference?
Like the Vivo S50, the Vivo S50t has quite a few strong points - for photos, in addition to the 50 Mpx main camera with optical image stabilization, it will also have a 50 Mpx periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and OIS, an 8 Mpx wide-angle camera and a 50 Mpx selfie camera, and its processor is the efficient, although not very new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Its 6.59-inch AMOLED display has a resolution of 1260 x 2750 px and a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and the battery has a capacity of 6500 mAh and charges at 90 W. It also runs the Android 16 operating system with the OriginOS interface. 6.
The official specifications on the manufacturer's website reveal that the Vivo S50t and Vivo S50 differ in one detail - the Vivo S50t uses UFS 3.1 internal storage, while the Vivo S50, despite being released earlier, is equipped with the newer and faster UFS 4.1 storage. Fortunately, this negative characteristic is reflected in the price – both memory variants of the Vivo S50t are 100 yuan cheaper than the same variant of the Vivo S50.
Vivo S50t with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage costs 3199 ¥ (approx. $469, €399), while the Vivo S50t with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage costs 3499 ¥ ($513, €437). White, black, sky blue, and purple color variants are also available.
