The Vivo G5i and Vivo G5z models have debuted in China. These are twin designs, which are also related to another, already known model, the Vivo Y500 series.
The new Vivo G5i and Vivo G5z are not only virtually identical, but also clones of the already well-known Vivo Y500s. They were most likely created for different distribution channels, perhaps commissioned by carriers or retail chains. In any case, these are budget 5G smartphones equipped with large batteries. But let's take a closer look.

The Vivo G5i and Vivo G5z are powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, supported by LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1 memory. They also have large 7200 mAh batteries that charge at 44W and support reverse charging. They also feature 8-megapixel selfie cameras with an f/2.05 aperture and 50-megapixel main cameras with an f/1.8 aperture. The front cameras offer 2x digital zoom, and the rear cameras offer up to 10x digital zoom, but unfortunately, they only record in Full HD. They also feature NFC, stereo speakers, IP68 and IP69 waterproofing, and side-mounted fingerprint readers. Unfortunately, both have unattractive LCD screens with a resolution of 1570 x 720 pixels (HD+), which they try to compensate for with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 240 Hz touchscreen. Both were only available in one color—black—but in two memory versions: 6+128 GB and 8+128 GB. Prices are identical at 2199 and 2899 yuan, or $325-430, respectively.
