The first smartphone in the new OnePlus series has debuted in India. OnePlus N6 boasts an affordable price and a large battery. What else does it have to offer?
The main and undeniable advantage of the OnePlus N6 is its 8000 mAh battery, which charges at 45W and offers 5W reverse charging. It also features bypass charging and an estimated durability of 1,600 cycles or 7 years. The smartphone also has a decent 50-megapixel camera with an f/1.8 aperture (though unfortunately, it only records in Full HD) and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. And that's where the good news ends, as things get more budget-friendly from there. The OnePlus N6 has a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max processor and 128 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded with a microSD card. This would sound even passable if it weren't for the RAM, which is only 4 or 6 GB.

The OnePlus N6 display isn't impressive either. It's a 6.8-inch IPS display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and brightness of up to 1,200 nits, but unfortunately, it also has HD+ resolution. The 166.47 x 78.23 x 8.88 mm plastic case is MIL-STD-810H-rated and IP65-rated, and the entire phone weighs 224 g. There are two colors to choose from, and the operating system runs Android 16 with OxygenOS 16.0, which will receive two updates and 3 years of security support. The OnePlus N6 is sold with a charger and a case, but such "luxuries" can only be counted on in India, where this model is assembled and will likely only be offered there. The price, depending on RAM capacity, is 23,000 or 25,000 rupees, which translates to $245-265.
