A new model has just joined the Honor Watch 6 and Honor Watch 6 Plus. The Honor Watch 6 Pro features a smaller battery but compensates with other advantages—what exactly does it offer, and at what price?
The Honor Watch 6 Pro measures 46.3 x 46.3 x 11.6 mm and sports a round, 1.5-inch dual-layer OLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 px, offering impressive peak brightness—4,500 nits globally, and up to 5,500 nits in specific areas. Its 500 mAh battery falls short of the 980 mAh and 1000 mAh batteries found in the Honor Watch 6 and Honor Watch 6 Plus, yet it still offers solid battery life: 4 days with all health features active, 7 days with the Always-On Display enabled, or 18 days in power-saving mode.
In terms of health features, the Honor Watch 6 Pro has plenty to offer, including a new blood pressure monitoring system, 24/7 heart rate variability (HRV) monitoring, and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), as well as fall and cardiac arrest detection that sends an alert in the event of an accident or heart attack. The precise and stable Honor Polaris positioning system—based on three antennas and dual-frequency technology—also performs well, enabling continuous location tracking for 21 hours.
While the standard Honor Watch 6 is available globally, the Honor Watch 6 Pro is currently only available for pre-order in China. There are five variants available, differing in colour and material: the Honor Watch 6 Pro in black or yellow stainless steel costs 1,600 yuan (approximately $240, €210), while the price of the more durable sintered ceramic variant—available in black, brown, or silver—is 1,800 yuan ($270, €235).
