Samsung today unveiled the Galaxy Tab S12 series—comprising the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+—offering high performance, long battery life, and Galaxy AI technology within the signature slim design of the Galaxy Tab line.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ feature Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays and come with an ergonomic S Pen, enabling effortless note-taking and precise editing. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is Samsung’s thinnest Galaxy Tab to date (5.1 mm) while simultaneously delivering the highest performance of any Galaxy Tab yet. Both models are designed for extended use; a single charge provides all-day battery life—up to 23 hours for the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and up to 21 hours for the Galaxy Tab S12—allowing for prolonged productivity anywhere. When it is time to recharge, the battery goes from 0% to 100% in approximately 95 minutes using a 45W charger. Beyond its impressive battery life, the Galaxy Tab S12 series delivers the highest performance of any Galaxy Tab to date. Its 3nm processor offers up to 61% faster NPU processing, 19% faster CPU performance, and 17% greater GPU power compared to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. In everyday use, this means users can tackle more demanding tasks with greater speed and responsiveness. A newly designed 3D vapor chamber effectively dissipates heat, ensuring more reliable performance during demanding tasks—whether users are editing video or creating graphics for hours on end.
Designed for resilience and durability to withstand the elements and provide peace of mind, the Galaxy Tab S12 series also features IP68-rated water and dust resistance. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra boasts a large 14.6-inch display, making it easier to delve into complex topics and view the screen from various perspectives. The Galaxy Tab S12+ offers a 12.6-inch display and slimmer bezels than its predecessor, providing more screen real estate without sacrificing portability. Enhanced Vision Booster technology now adjusts brightness in real-time based on lighting conditions to ensure a comfortable viewing experience. Building on industry-leading hardware, the Galaxy Tab S12 series transforms its large screen into a flexible workspace that makes it easy to handle various tasks without missing a beat. Powered by Android 17 with One UI 9 and the latest Galaxy AI technology, it integrates search, note-taking, creation, and AI-assisted features into a single experience. Users can split the screen into up to three sections using the Multi Window layout. For instance, they can take notes in Samsung Notes on one side of the screen while playing a lecture and using the AI assistant on the other. As key insights or questions arise, users can jot them down with the S Pen directly in Samsung Notes, and the Note Assist feature summarizes the notes.
