FAQ - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes, OnePlus 13 supports inductive charging at 50 W. However, it should be noted that inductive chargers are usually not included with the device It will be necessary to buy a separate device if you want to use this type of charging. The phone can also be charged with a wired charger up to 100 W.
Unfortunately, OnePlus 13 doesn’t include a jack socket in its specifications. To use wired headphones, you need to get an appropriate adapter. Alternatively, you can use Bluetooth headphones. Phones with a jack socket can be found in our advanced search.

The phone is excellent, it is just a pity that it is so large. 6.5 is the maximum for me.

Nothing positive can be mentioned when prices in Poland start at 5299 for 16/512 and 4799 PLN for 12/256. There are only cosmetic changes between OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 13. For the uninitiated: the fingerprint sensor will cease to function correctly if you add protective glass. It is a pity that no one from technical YouTube channels mentions this. The second point is the slightly curved screen. Good luck with applying a dedicated glass protector. It is becoming increasingly absurd that the iPhone, of which I am not a fan, offers better possibilities for this price. We will see what Samsung presents with the S25 series. In China, with a Chinese ROM that can be converted to Oxygen OS, you can purchase the device for under 3000 with a charger included. In our country, we receive an empty box with a cable and an astronomical price. Manufacturers seemingly consider us consumers to be unintelligent.

I will start by saying that I switched from an iPhone 13, and I purchased the phone on a "Chinese website." For around 3k (rather than 5k as in Poland), you get a phone that includes a charger in the box and lacks e-sim, which is not a downside for me.

The phone has a very good display that covers practically the entire front of the phone, leaving only a slight border around the screen. The adaptive refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz is a significant improvement for me, making everything scroll smoothly, and the phone is very efficient regarding energy consumption (60 Hz in the iPhone is very disappointing).

Very powerful components in the phone offer very good performance; nothing freezes, and there are no stutters. The phone also does not overheat as some reports suggested (my iPhone 13 was warmer). A weak point is that the phone does not keep applications in memory for long, even though I have the 16/512 GB version...

I expected something better from the cameras, but it is not a disaster; the ability to record videos in 4k 60fps and 8k 30fps is acceptable. I consider the 120x zoom to be a novelty feature, a gadget, because from 50x onwards AI intervenes (though it seems to me even earlier), which unfortunately does not always handle the photographed subject well—it sharpens objects very well and "guesses" what they are, then fills them in. However, when it comes to people, the quality is poor; sometimes it distorts them significantly, sometimes it is just a blur, sometimes they blend into the surroundings, and sometimes the legs are in one position while the torso is in another.

The battery in the OP13 lasts me about 1.5 days, which was unattainable with the iPhone 13 and ended at 0.5 days. Charging the phone from 0%-100% takes 30 minutes, and I have not even enabled the function that further accelerates this process (and I have all battery protection features turned on).

AI works; this is my first experience with it in phones, so I will skip that.
Dynamic Island is present, and that is all—virtually no application supports it except for the system ones, which can be counted on one hand. The application drawer is an interesting solution, at times a very useful feature, for example, to translate what is currently displayed on the screen with two clicks without leaving it.
Multitasking (compared to any iPhone) is vastly superior. I can run three applications at once, and there is no problem with their operation.

I really do not like the gesture control, which is excellent in the iPhone, and after switching from iOS, it is difficult to return to buttons. The problem lies in one small thing: swiping from the left side of the screen triggers the back action, which is normal. However, swiping from the right side... does the same thing, which is not intuitive, meaning it should work in the opposite way.

The fingerprint reader works very well and quickly. After switching from FaceID, I thought I would have trouble getting used to it. After several weeks of use, it seems to me that it is even a better solution. In certain situations, the iPhone could not recognize my face because, for example, I was sitting too far away or at such an angle that I had to enter the PIN anyway (driving a car, phone in a holder).

I have just started testing Dual SIM, but the lack of two antennas is a significant disadvantage, though currently probably no phone offers this solution anymore, which is a pity.

Summarizing as a former iPhone user: the phone is very good, and I consider the switch a very good move, although the iPhone also has its advantages, such as ease and intuitive navigation in the system. In contrast, in the OP13, we get multitasking, battery life, fast charging, and screen refresh rate. Although the OP13 is no longer a flagship-killer (at least at the price of 5k), I recommend its purchase.

I have been using the smartphone for four months and it is my first OnePlus. I own a unit from China in the 16/512 version, originally with the Chinese ColorOS, with OxygenOS installed by me according to tutorials on xda and Youtube. It can be done relatively without problems, so I do not wish to be considered an expert, which I am not; however, if you do not know what root, bootloader, or fastboot are, perhaps it is better not to attempt it. Nevertheless, in this case, my interest in technical modifications brought very tangible benefits ? a smartphone valued in Polish stores at 4000 PLN was purchased for less than 2800 PLN, including a SuperVOOC 100W charger and an original case, which are naturally missing in the European distribution. If I include those, I saved almost 1.5 thousand Polish PLN.

I switched to OnePlus from a Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, which still lacked nothing for trouble-free operation except for a battery with very low efficiency that could not even last a full day of my use. The performance of the predecessor is best evidenced by the fact that after switching to one of the most efficient smartphones on the market, which the OnePlus 13 was at that time, I did not feel a great difference. Yes, there is a difference, but if you use flagships (or at least flagship hardware components), then this performance will remain at a truly high level for a long time, and that was also the case here. If this phone is not damaged/lost/stolen, I assume that it will also last me 5 years.

The biggest disappointment in the OnePlus turned out to be the battery for me. Either I use the phone too much, or I expected too much from 6000 mAh, but the phone does not last two full days on a single charge. I have already managed to get used to this and simply ignore the situation. I only hope that the battery cell will not wear out too quickly and will maintain its charge for 1.5 days for at least these 4 years.

The screen? Well? an advantage and a disadvantage. It is great. It is pleasant to watch on the large size. But using such a large device is sometimes problematic for me. Of course, the 120 Hz refresh rate added a lot of smoothness, while I switched the resolution to FullHD because I do not see any difference compared to 2K, and it does not consume as much energy. In general, for me, FullHD is the maximum that a person needs in a smartphone, and I hope that manufacturers will make more rational decisions, because higher resolutions only mean a faster-draining battery and nothing more than a competition based on technical specifications. Unless you study only a fragment of the screen through a magnifying glass, then you can study it.

Actually, this phone is such that I do not have much to say about it. After a few days of longer personalized configuration, now? it just works. Calls work, the earpiece is very loud and clear, the screen works, the OxygenOS software overlay is very pleasant, and after the update to 16 it is even better, the cameras take good photos (but not for a professional photographer), the speed of operation is appropriate for a flagship? What more to add. Probably nothing. I certainly will not say whether it is worth buying this phone, because I know many people who would not spend more than 1000 PLN on a smartphone and the OnePlus 13 was not addressed to them. It meets my requirements (except for the battery) even in excess, so I think I made a good choice.

But if you want me to add something, if you have any questions, if I did not mention something ? I will gladly answer, suggest, advise, and share my experience. Just write an email, and I will try to reply. Regards.

After almost a year of use, I can state that the OnePlus 13 is an excellent smartphone. The screen is excellent, legible even in full sunlight. The content is clear, and the colors look very good. The vibrations coordinate very well with what is being done on the phone. There are no problems with signal (and that is important to me because I always had problems with it) and call quality. Android with the OxygenOS overlay looks nice, it has many different functions, but they are located very logically and intuitively. I have the variant with 12 GB RAM and I do not complain about multitasking. Switching between applications is fast and without reloading. I have not noticed any errors. The speakers perform very well, they are loud, there is no distortion, and some bass can be heard, so the sound is not flat. The camera takes nice photos, detailed, well-lit, and sharp (unless one uses too much zoom). The 6000 mAh battery lasts me for 2.5-3 days of operation, and the fast charging is excellent, 30 minutes and the battery is charged. The phone sometimes becomes slightly warm (mostly during longer video recording) but generally remains cool (I do not play games). The black version looks excellent (those imitations of wood grain) and fingerprints are not visible on it.

Positive opinion

Blysk

Hello, I have owned the phone since the beginning of the year. I switched from a Xiaomi Mi Note 10 (which I had for five years), and it was performing poorly because it no longer received updates. This phone is excellent. Regarding the photos, they are better, as are the videos (it has 8k at 30fps), although I prefer recording in 4k at 60fps. As for the battery, if I happen to drain it in one day, it charges completely in less than 30 minutes. Watching movies on the phone is an exceptional experience because both the sound and the image are very good. Regarding the processor, I am not sure, but I have about 300 applications and many games on the phone, and everything runs smoothly. As for games, even demanding Asian titles run at maximum settings, so I recommend this phone to everyone.

Positive opinion

Marek

For me, the OnePlus 13 phone is the best of all those I have had and I have nothing to complain about. In this review, I would like to provide information to Mr. Jan who wrote that the fingerprint scanner works poorly after applying the glass. If you entered your fingerprint before applying the glass, there will be difficulties in unlocking the screen later. I suggest that you remove the fingerprint from the phone and then scan your finger again on the glass. I guarantee you that as soon as you touch the scanner, the screen will be unlocked.

Error in description - OnePlus 13 has a lithium-silicon battery. The source is the manufacturer itself. By the way - after a month of use I state that this phone will stay with me for longer - no iPhones or my wife's Samsung S25 - oneplus13 operates with exceptional efficiency, the battery cannot be discharged in 1 day, everything functions very smoothly, cameras are excellent, zero problems. I recommend.
Thank you for drawing attention and the source. Regards. (jf)

The phone itself is beyond reproach; it works as it should. However, since the updates, things have only gotten worse; the battery drains much faster and its level decreases very rapidly, often even when not gaming. In games, it heats up very quickly, and then the battery percentage decreases even faster. I have the impression that at the time of the launch, before the updates, the phone operated much better.

There is an error in the description OnePlus 13 has a barometer.
Yes, thank you for pointing that out. The smartphone debuted in China, where this sensor is not listed in the specifications (or it is not there, because that is also possible). In the European specifications, the barometer is indeed present. Regards. (jf)
