Two and a half years of use and it can be said that it is satisfactory, the battery still lasts up to two days with heavy use, but it started to experience system freezes, the screen would not scroll, it did not respond to touch, it would restart by itself or even turn off, it lost signal while another phone lying nearby had reception, otherwise satisfactory, perhaps I came across such a strange unit, it was very annoying.

I used it for about three years and it never let me down. I am not a person who is constantly on the phone, so the battery easily lasted three-four days. Updated to the maximum, it never failed, but the time has come to switch to the mi 11. I recommend the redmi 8. Even a used one, because it will not let you down.

I have owned it since the beginning of the month and first I will list the disadvantages:
In this case, I have not noticed extreme disadvantages such as "artificial hanging," however, it is tolerable compared to the Redmi 4A where, despite the unstable touch function (I even had two units), the support is even good because the Triton kernel under LineageOS (Android 10 with dark mode) dates from 2021.
And the disadvantages for which Xiaomi should not be blamed are:
- Primarily the Wi-Fi lagging on its own during tethering for SIM cards on the mobile version of YouTube {and here it is already Google's fault}
- The application named "QuickSearchBox" updates on its own even when auto-update is unchecked (!) and this is completely against the explicit will of the user. Since this application does not exist with "MicroG pico" (and rightly so), this is another absurdity from the series of Google's policies. There will be an identical opinion on XDA.
Neutral?
* 3072MB LPDDR3/32GB eMMC 5.1 (as a backup it is acceptable, as a main phone it would unfortunately not be very good because the rear camera lacks the ability to record at 60FPS, however, for occasional use it is just right)
* LTE Advanced 300Mbps (probably)
* As I wrote: Average support in the sense that it is only for minor improvements and nothing more compared to the Galaxy Note 8 (which I often use as my main phone) where the possibilities are already significantly greater and additionally AdAway does not slow down when blocking scams (it is clear that UFS is like PCI mode and not SATA, so it does not interfere in certain situations)
Advantages:
+ For a backup: In-Plane Switching at 720x1520 (6.22")
+ Definitely a better equivalent to the Redmi Note 9T 5G (if only for the smaller size and no 5G, and it also has fifth generation Gorilla Glass)
+ Modular replacement with the same ease as for the Redmi 4A
+ Even if it were slightly used, it is even harder to discharge it in the same way, unlike the mentioned model with 5G in version 11
Summary: if not for these small problems, the rating would already be significantly higher, however, with a budget device one cannot expect everything at once.
Rating: 7.31/10 - The camera, as is known, is average although it even has semi-automatic options, but that is a slightly weak option, but on the other hand, the battery: high class of detail

I have owned the phone for over 3 years and I can say that I expected more. After 2 years, the phone began to freeze and has problems with the touchscreen. It is often necessary to use the lock button again to be able to use it. An additional problem after 3 years of use is the speaker. Often you cannot hear what the other caller is saying even if I have the speaker set to maximum volume. I do not recommend this phone because I expected it to last 6/7 years and there is already a problem after 3 years. I will be forced to spend another 650 zł to buy a phone because this one is ceasing to function. Sigh.

I have had the phone for 5 years, but unfortunately, the last 2 years have been a struggle with it. It worked well for 3 years; afterwards, it unfortunately became increasingly worse, and if a week passes without it freezing, it is a miracle. Frequent problems after those 3 years include: the touch screen freezes and it must be locked and unlocked again; it lags; sometimes it freezes and must be restarted because it does not respond to anything. Overall, it is a weak phone; additionally, the eMMC 5.1 memory causes this phone to barely function after a long time.

Redmi 8 lasts about 3 years, during which it works perfectly. Later it gets worse and worse. Below was an opinion from a person lacking intelligence who wrote that they are not one and ... after 2 years replaced the phone with a new one. One must be a very unintelligent person. Unfortunately, I have had this phone for 4 years already. It still works.

I have had the phone since 2020, it served me very well, at times it had performance slowdowns but it was nothing serious that would ruin the satisfaction of using the phone. For a smartphone from the "lower" tier it performed very well :)

For a cheap smartphone for 600zł, it was satisfactory it had a few shortcomings (freezing and the necessity of connecting to a charger for "restoring functionality"), after 8 years of continuous use it ceased to function permanently
