The phone only works properly for the first six months. After that, unpredictable problems occur: it loses signal, turns itself off, and freezes during data transmission. It does not display notifications, and with every MIUI update, the situation becomes increasingly absurd and unsatisfactory.

On the phone, after the loss of warranty, almost everything starts to fail automatically, freezes lasting several minutes during ordinary use are the norm.

It seems this is already my fourth review of this phone. I bought it exactly two years ago.

There were (and sometimes still are) unacceptable software issues such as a black screen during calls (and this symptom occasionally reappears now).

About two or three months ago, the back of the phone opened (swollen battery). I waited a bit longer, but when it dropped from 60% to shutting down, I ordered and installed a new battery. It works. It is only a pity that I did this after consuming four beers and did not realize that the orange circle with the logo was also a screw, and I pried it slightly. I somehow slightly damaged the Wi-Fi. It works, but it must be close to the router.

The phone (less than 800 PLN) was worth buying. It was not worth replacing the battery while under the influence of alcohol. As is the case with many other things. We will see how long it lasts and whether I will replace it before it stops working completely.

Generally, regarding the phone, the specifications are adequate. Compare them with the price from November 2020 (approximately 797 including shipping). Everyone can judge for themselves.

I will only add that replacing the battery is a simple task. There is a video on YouTube. Just be careful with the orange, camouflaged screws (there are two, but you need to unscrew the one for the antenna).
Best regards!

Hello. I have been using this model for almost 4 years. I must admit that the flashlight could be brighter, but it is a phone and is meant for something other than lighting. For the first 3 years, the phone worked exceptionally fast. Everything was fine both before and after updates. In summary, it is my best phone so far, and I have also owned a Samsung. Unfortunately, as is common with low budget phones, something always happens after such long use. It has slowed down. It freezes often. It turns off during phone calls. Applications take too long to open... etc. etc. But I think it has the right to do so given my quite intensive use. However, so far it is still the best model I have had the pleasure of working with. I still use it even though it irritates me greatly at the moment. As for the camera, I am satisfied, and I am a photography enthusiast. Perhaps someone should simply learn how to set everything correctly first instead of clicking aimlessly. It does not overheat. It does not lose colors. It is really nice despite the fact that it has been very annoying lately. I am still SATISFIED with it. My next one will also be a Xiaomi. Best regards.

The third year of use is passing. After a little less than two years, the first battery failed and I replaced it, but I received a very poor replacement (this is the fault of Allegro, because they categorize an item as if it is "the same" rather than items from specific sellers, which greatly discourages me from using Allegro). After another battery replacement - the phone is like new. Over the course of three years, I spent about 900zł on it (4/64). Recording in 4k is admittedly not exceptional and I prefer fullHD 60FPS, but I am curious why much newer models do not have this function in this price segment? Planned product obsolescence? Okay, I understand that they often have AMOLED screens, faster processors, 8GB RAM... But what is the problem then, that a phone released 4 years ago had a 4k recording function, while current hardware superior mid range devices do not? Because it was reserved for more expensive, high end models? I do not use that 4k because it does not turn out well at all, but 8k photos are sometimes useful, for example, for taking pictures of boards with many advertisements.

I recommended it to my father because it looked okay on paper in this price range. But after using it for a while at home, it was very poor. xiaomi's idiotic policy of putting ads even in the file manager (I have not even seen this in huawei, it is terrible), the eternal wait for wifi calling support - when it finally appeared in version 12.0, they removed it in 12.5 (probably because it functioned fatally). Call quality is poor; I prefer calling my mother's phone (samsung, also in Orange) because it is much better there. When transferring photos to dropbox, there were also problems; to transfer them all, I restarted the phone about 5 times because for some unknown reason it lost access to the photos, although they worked in the gallery. Notification management is a disaster; everything needs to be turned off because the phone slows down significantly due to the volume of them. I feel embarrassed that I recommended it to my father; I will probably buy him another one so he does not have to struggle.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8T is a smartphone that is great in terms of cameras ? so far they take great quality photos, even at night. The weakest points of the smartphone are the 4000 mAh battery (it is not much, and applications like Instagram or Messenger consume a lot of battery power). 64 GB memory ? unfortunately, with applications that take up more and more space from update to update, it is very little memory. Unfortunately, after years, one can feel that even 4 GB of RAM is not enough, but the optimization of applications on Android in terms of RAM has been inadequate for years. The purple-blue version looks great to this day. The battery lasts 4?6 years, replacements 3?3.5 years. Is it worth rescuing such a smartphone today as a secondary one if it is kept in a drawer without a battery? One must answer that for themselves. I rate the smartphone 8/10. If it had more memory and a larger capacity battery, it would still be a great smartphone for everyday use.

We bought it for our daughter in either 2019 or 2020, I believe it is the 4 GB / 64 GB version. Some time ago I set it aside because I thought the motherboard had failed. This was not the case. I recently bought a battery to test it, replaced it, and it continues to operate correctly. My daughter still uses it (instead of the newer Redmi 13 bought a year ago, whose build quality is unsatisfactory: two LCD failures, one instance of a cracked and leaking screen, and recently lines and no touch response). Although the speed is no longer the same after app updates, for my daughter's basic needs, such as social media, photos, Messenger, WhatsApp, or YouTube, the phone works :). The old Snapdragon performs adequately ;). It has fallen many times and fortunately nothing happened, which means it is durable :D. The 4000 mAh battery: it is not remarkable, of course, it depends on usage, but considering the 6.3-inch display size, it lasts according to how it is used.

The phone is very good. I have had it for 3 years. I use it intensively. It still takes good photos; at night they are mediocre, but there is nothing to complain about. I would buy the same phone again. It does not break, it is reliable and resistant to damage; recently a forklift ran over it and nothing happened. I do not understand the people here who write that every phone is bad. After 3 years, the battery lasts a day with normal use, and I use it moderately intensively. If I use it only for calls and checking something on the internet or fb, it can even last over 1.5 days without charging, and sometimes even two days. I recommend this phone to everyone. It has only advantages and has never failed. I would buy the same model after three years if it had a larger battery and a slightly better camera. So, it is not lacking anything- after three years of hard work.

I switched to it from a Samsung Galaxy and after two years, I have had enough of it. The specifications might be fine, I do not know much about that, but in terms of usage, it has a million annoying things. A full-screen message about covering the earpiece opening when I just want to take it out of my pocket to quickly check notifications. Pre-installed manufacturer applications displaying advertisements and suggested videos from the internet (in the video player). Bluetooth that regularly refuses to connect to anything, and the phone needs to be restarted. Unintuitive settings where you have to search for tutorials on the internet to view the password for a saved Wi-Fi. I have not been this disappointed with any phone in a long time. In my subjective list of phones I have owned, it is competing for the last place along with Manta.
