I have had this phone for almost 2 years, it works perfectly, it has never frozen yet, and the battery lasts a very long time. Comparing it to Samsung or to Honor 8 (I think that positive opinions are very exaggerated when it comes to Honor, and Samsung worked for only about 6 months), using Xiaomi is much more pleasant.

Hello,
I have owned the phone for a year. For three quarters of this period, my opinion was positive; the ratio of the price to the provided technical specifications is a significant advantage. However, for some time now, problems have arisen:
- the phone can turn off by itself, regardless of the battery charge.
- it terminates calls on its own, regardless of whether the call is conducted by the ear or in speakerphone mode.
- during attempts to call, a persistent server error message appears, which results in disconnection.
- the phone very often behaved as if it were in its own world, i.e., there was signal on the phone, but the potential caller could not reach me; notifications about contact attempts were delivered with a significant delay.
- after a successful connection with the caller, the phone's speaker would go silent while the person continued to speak, whereas I could be heard the entire time.
The aforementioned errors were not identified by the service center, but through my own usage; after transferring the card to another phone (of a different brand), the errors disappeared.

This is my first experience with Xiaomi and I have had my Redmi Note 9 Pro for about 2 and a half years now. Generally, the phone is perfectly fine, it is not particularly impressive and does not amaze, but it performs well and fulfills its role. The battery is definitely a plus; it lasts me all day on a single charge with fairly intensive use. The charging itself is also fast, and overall the battery is very good. The camera is nothing special; in good light you can take a decent photo, but in artificial light or low lighting, the photos are simply poor. As for the performance, it is rather average. It is not bad, and I have not had much trouble with overheating, but unfortunately, the biggest drawback of this phone is the system overlay. MIUI is very unsatisfactory, not because of its style and such, as it is intuitive and there is nothing to complain about there, but unfortunately, the overlay has many bugs and is unstable. The phone tends to freeze, sometimes minimally, which can be ignored, but just as often it tends to stall for a longer moment. It also frequently had total freezes where it had to be restarted, and sometimes even that would not work. Generally, there are many errors in operation and applications - nothing critical, perhaps, but it effectively spoils the experience of using the device. In summary, the phone is just okay - it works, it does its job, the battery is very good, but the unstable operation and errors are annoying (much effort was required to enable wifi call). It can be purchased and if you do not have very high requirements and just want a cheap phone for calling and basic functions, you will likely be satisfied, but to be honest, you can find something more interesting at a similar price. For me, it is a 6.5/10 - many flaws, but it is not a tragedy.

Phone bought in June 2020, 6/64 version. A great rugged case purchased immediately after buying the phone, which I still use today. It runs smoothly, but 64GB is not much considering how much space the system occupies. Used intensively, it has worked smoothly the whole time and never froze so badly that I had to use a key combination to restart it, or as some report, for 2 or 3 days. Once or twice it restarted on its own. MIUI 14 is installed on the phone. A few months after purchase, a slight screen burn-in (a white dot) appeared, possibly due to strong mechanical pressure at that spot. The IPS display is fine, but I would invest in an AMOLED now. The speaker is average. Fast charging is a plus. NFC works without any issues. I was reminded of the notification LED after cleaning the earpiece speaker; it might as well not be there (the best ones were in the RN2 and older models). The camera is not impressive, but the macro mode is sometimes useful for reading labels on micro-components. Overall, I am satisfied with this phone and I think it will remain functional for some time.

The phone itself is good. Very good in terms of hardware and extremely durable. The composite back plus Gorilla Glass and an aluminum frame do an incredible job. However, the software is of very poor quality and ruins this phone. Additionally, there is a lack of updates, many advertisements, and a total lack of support. For a phone in this category, there are many bugs and imperfections in the software; even the camera issue is caused by the software. After installing the custom ROM LineageOS 20 (Android 13), the phone is wonderful; I was planning to buy a Pixel 6a but I decided against it. After nearly 4 years, the battery needs replacement because less than 70 percent of its original capacity remains, but the replacement is relatively simple and a good battery is available for it. A disadvantage is the charger, which requires the original cable for full fast charging with the USB A port. On the other hand, it is easily possible to charge a laptop with it because it supports PD.

This phone is okay, it works smoothly, does not heat up, etc., but its worst drawback is the proximity sensor. It is simply extremely poor; I cannot make calls to anyone because as soon as a call is initiated, the screen turns black and the phone cannot be turned on, becoming accessible only after waiting about 5 minutes. Interestingly, when the screen goes dark, the call continues, but I cannot hear the caller and they cannot hear me either. Apparently, this sensor is simply damaged, and another drawback is the advertisements, whether when entering settings or another application. I have the 6/128 version.
Pros:
- Good camera
- Quite a good flashlight
- Nice design
- Long-lasting battery
I do not understand what others mean when they say the system stutters, because for me it works very smoothly. Personally, I can recommend the phone; I rate it 7,5/10.

I have had this phone for over three years (6/128 version) and I am very satisfied. After two years of use, the phone did indeed shut down completely a few times during calls, but the problem disappeared when I started resetting it once a month. The proximity sensor is sensitive, but it does not cause any inconvenience (unlike the Huawei I had previously – the slightest head movement caused the call to disconnect). After three years, the battery capacity has dropped from 5000 to 4300, which is very respectable. There could be fewer manufacturer apps, but they can be packed into folders and moved to the furthest screen, so it is not an issue. The phone has many applications installed and operates without any problems. I personally recommend it – the experience has been mostly positive, and I will probably buy a Xiaomi for my next one as well.

Watch out for this phone. Overall it is great, the battery lasts well, the colors are nice, and the camera is also okay, but not at night. However, after 3 years of use, I noticed the display has become loose. A light rain was enough and the display detached along with the plate beneath it (!!, it was only held by the connectors at the charging port); the phone continued to function very well, including the touch screen and other features. I secured it with tape so it is not visible and I am afraid to use any other adhesive; I will simply take it for repair, perhaps it can be glued back somehow. The phone still works correctly, however, this is a significant flaw. The phone is already 3 years old, so theoretically it has already completed its service life, but in my opinion, it is extremely sensitive to moisture.

I do not understand why there are so many negative reviews about this model.. I have had this model for 4 years and I am very satisfied. The phone operates smoothly and does not freeze. The battery lasts about 6 days. The camera takes very beautiful photos, and the video recorder captures very vivid videos. Games run very smoothly, and watching movies is an excellent and smooth experience. The phone does not overheat or stutter. The only drawback I can point out is that each subsequent system update takes up a significant amount of internal memory. I was convinced that after each system update to a newer version of MIUI, the old files would be replaced by new ones. Unfortunately, it is different. Out of 15 GB of internal memory, 10 GB is occupied by the system, as if it were at least a desktop computer.

I agree with many people that during the first year of use immediately after purchase, the phone would freeze. There was a problem with the proximity sensor; the display did not turn off during calls. Additionally, after a call, it would automatically switch from silent to loud mode. I returned to the 8pro. However, I performed a factory reset and installed the latest updates. I downloaded GCam for the camera. And the phone operates very smoothly. Remember that the phones themselves are often not to blame, but rather the updates released by the manufacturer. Before you install anything, read the forums to see if it is worth skipping a software update and waiting for the next one. Greetings to all users.
