North Korean KCNA TV shared with the world the sensational news: this country isolated from the Western world has created its own smartphone. Unfortunately, the message has a clear, propaganda accent.
North Korean state media published photos of the country leader Kim Jong Un, visiting the factory, which produced the phone called Arirang AS1201. For a moment, you can see the device itself against a heap of packages. The phone looks pretty average - has a touch screen, a relatively thick cover, a camera and LED. Unfortunately, the North Koreans have not shared with the world the technical data of their work. Western sites have speculated whether the Koreans actually built this smartphone or ordered the whole series in China, then arranged a crib propaganda in the factory...

Meanwhile, something else bothers me. In the pictures you can see that the phone is running pure Android. And it was created after all in a country that is the biggest enemy of "Kim regime"! Is such fraternizing with the enemy is a harbinger of political thaw or careless Korean authorities? It is worth noting that the mobile phone is not in the North Korea a good widely available and inexpensive. Mobiles go into the hands of "the chosen" distinguished citizens, and to the authorities. Is no one concerned that Google will steal any sensitive data!
