LG recently delighted us with higher-end models, but it does not mean that it abandons the mobile segment with a slightly more reasonable prices. The company unveiled a new, already third installment of L series. Fortunately, with them, there appears a new nomenclature. Instead of L3 and L5, we will have L90, L70 and L40.
A common feature of the new models is a subdued design, as well as the most recent Android 4.4 KitKat, equipped with an interface modeled on the G series. We can therefore expect the number of non-routine, practical solutions.
The cheapest model in the new series is L40, equipped with a screen size of 3.5 inches and a resolution of 320x480 pixels. This phone has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, supported by 512 MB of RAM. On board there is also a 3-megapixel camera and a modest 4 GB of built-in memory. L40, depending on the market, will have a battery with a capacity of 1700 mAh or 1540 mAh. Each version will connect to the network at HSDPA+ 14.4 Mbps.
Another model L70 is about one inch larger than L40. There is no screen 480x800 pixels, and the battery - 2100 mAh. The processor has, however, still only two cores and 1.2 GHz clock, and a built-in memory – is still 4 GB. RAM is increasing up to 1 GB and the resolution of cameras - depending on the target market - rises to 5 or 8 megapixels. In this model, we can count on the presence of the front webcam and connectivity HSPA+ 21 Mbps.
The last two elements we find also in the top L90. It already has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and a gigabyte of RAM , and its 4.7-inch IPS screen has 540x960 pixels. Regardless of the market, this model will have only one version with the 8-megapixel camera and a 2540 mAh battery.
LG has not yet revealed the prices of new L-series models, we do not know the plans of their distribution. We know for sure that we will see these new products at MWC, so then we'll find out more about them.
