By presenting the new model, Meizu drops the MX marking. Here is the launch Meizu Pro 5, with a metal housing and a large display. Let us take a closer look.
Meizu Pro 5 received an elegant, aluminium body that cannot be disassembled and a curved glass protecting the 5.7-inch Super AMOLED FullHD display. Inside there is a quad-core Samsung Exynos 7420 CPU, that can be supported by 3 or 4GB of RAM – depending on the buyer’s wallet size. Choosing bigger RAM means more space on the flash drive – 64GB. Buyers of 3GB can only receive 32GB of flash – and the possibility to expand the space with a microSD card in both versions of the phone.
Meizu Pro 5 received a USB-C socket and the possibility of the fast-charge of the 3050mAh battery. Charging it for half an hour will result in the power level of even 60%. For music lovers there is an ES9018 audio converter and an OPA1612 amplifier, and photography lovers will have a 5-megapixel front camera and 21-megapixel Sony IMX230 camera with a 1/2.4 inch matrix. The flagship Meizu will cost 440 or 490 dollars – depending on the chosen memory. Pro 5 works under the newest, fifth version of the Flyme system based on Android 5.1.
