Samsung today announced a new smartphone - Galaxy A42 5G. It will be the cheapest - so far - 5G model in the history of the Korean brand.
Unfortunately, today we are dealing only with an announcement. The appearance of the phone and some of its data were revealed, adding that we will learn more "soon". This means that we will wait a little longer for the full launch of this model.
Samsung Galaxy A42 5G will have a fairly simple form, with a droplet notch and a square camera holder on the back. It is reported that a Super AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.6 inches will be used. The resolution was not specified, but we can assume that it is a Full HD+ display, in addition with a fingerprint reader hidden under its surface.

It is worth paying attention to the pattern covering the back of the housing. This may be a preview of a new styling of the cheaper models of the Galaxy A series. Galaxy A42 5G should debut later this year and will certainly be cheaper than the current, cheapest Samsung with 5G, Galaxy A51 5G.
