The CAT brand, part of the Bullitt Group, is well known for its heavy-duty equipment. We've already dealt with their phones and smartphones, and you could see them at today's booth as well, but this year's CAT launch at MWC was about something completely different - the armored, waterproof, weatherproof CAT Q10 router.
This is one of the first, if not the first equipment of this category. This router can share internet with 32 devices, IP68 protection certification protects it from dust and rain, Mil-Spec 810H military standard promises weather resistance, and like other CAT brand devices, the Q10 router was drop tested from 1.8 subway.
Tightness and tightness, but the greatest enemy of electronics is often not water or gravity, but the inexorable passage of time. And here's another good news - the CAT Q10 router is powered by a 5300 mAh battery, but the important thing is that it can be removed - so you can expect that the device will serve us much longer than a typical smartphone. Unlike smartphones, when buying a router, we probably don't plan to replace it in a year, so it's a very reasonable solution.
And how much will such a durable router cost? It remains to be seen.
