A new Oppo smartphone has appeared in China without much fanfare, distinguished by its battery and durability.
This is Oppo A6 Max, whose specifications and price have just been officially confirmed during its local launch. This phone packs a 7000 mAh battery into a 7.7 mm thick body weighing 198 grams, and can be charged at 80W, allowing it to charge up to 50% in 24 minutes. Oppo A6 Max is dust and water resistant with IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, meaning the smartphone can maintain water resistance both when submerged and when exposed to pressurized water. Oppo A6 Max is also SGS certified for high-temperature operation, and its speakers, which can be boosted by 300%, are also useful for outdoor use.
Oppo A6 Max features a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800 x 1280 pixels, a peak brightness of 1600 nits, and a 120 Hz refresh rate, protected by Crystal Shield Glass. Its processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, accompanied by 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of internal storage, and a 5200 mm² vapor chamber. For photos, there's a 50MP main camera with a 2MP monochrome secondary camera, and a 32MP front-facing selfie camera.
The new smartphone is currently available in China in a single memory variant and two color options – Streamer White and Rock Mist Blue. Oppo A6 Max is priced at 1,599 yuan, which translates to approximately $225, €190.
