Amazon has updated specifications for its Fire HD 8 tablet lineup. What are the new Amazon Fire HD 8 editions?
Recently, Amazon has made a facelift to the Kindle reader. Now it's time for more devices. Amazon's series of larger tablets has received a refreshed design, faster processors and larger memories. A new way to interact with the voice assistant has also been added. This can now be done from the screen without speaking. A special icon appears, followed by a set of the most popular commands. The series, as before, consists of two models: basic and Plus.

The displays still have a diagonal of 8 inches and a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The base model - Amazon Fire HD 8 - has 2 GB of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal memory, as well as two 2MP cameras. This model is also available in Kids Edition, with a protective cover, an additional warranty and a 1-year subscription to Amazon Kids Plus. The Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus model has 3 GB of RAM and a slightly better, 5-megapixel rear camera. This model also uses faster charging - with a power of 15 W, although the batteries of all versions are described as providing up to 13 hours of operation. Amazon Fire HD 8 starts at $ 100 and the Kids version starts at $ 150. The Fire HD 8 Plus model costs from $ 120.
