The powerful new Redmi K100 smartphone stands in stark contrast to the budget-friendly segment typically associated with the Redmi brand; however, the clip-style earphones unveiled alongside it are much easier on the wallet.
The Redmi Clip Neo TWS earphones offer an alternative to conventional in-ear models, featuring a design that hooks around the ear. The ear hook is engineered for exceptional flexibility and durability, utilizing a 0.6 mm-thick titanium wire with shape-memory properties. The manufacturer states that the hook has withstood 25,000 bending tests. Furthermore, the parts that come into contact with the ear are covered in skin-friendly silicone, and each earphone weighs just 5.3 g, ensuring a comfortable user experience.
The Redmi Clip Neo earphones deliver sound via 12 mm drivers equipped with a dual-magnet system—which boosts volume by 40%—and a diamond-coated diaphragm that enables a faster response to signal changes.
Two AI-supported microphones reduce noise during calls, while the built-in 10-band equalizer offers four presets along with the option for manual adjustment. An interesting feature of these headphones is a physical button; depending on the number and duration of presses, it can pause playback, skip to the next or previous track, or trigger a smart assistant—regardless of whether the headphones are paired with an Android smartphone or an iPhone.
The Redmi Clip Neo are currently available in the manufacturer's Chinese store in black and white color options. They are priced at 400 yuan (approximately $60 / €53), while a limited "CryingCenter" edition—which includes a special carrying case and a set of stickers—is available for 450 yuan ($68 / €60). This is quite an affordable price, especially when compared to the similar Xiaomi Clip-On headphones that were unveiled in May of this year.
