Information about the Samsung Galaxy S24 series has already been leaked, despite the fact that the phones are not to be officially presented until next year. Now another leak may provide important information regarding the selfie camera.
According to reports from GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S24 series will continue the trend of equipping phones with 12 Mpx front cameras. The website adds that the S24 Ultra model will also be equipped with a 12 Mpx camera. This means that people who were hoping to return to the front camera with a resolution of 40 Mpx, as in the case of the S22 Ultra, may be disappointed.
The website also claims that Samsung wants to keep the screen cut-outs (punch-holes) as small as possible. This means we can't expect larger 12MP lenses to deliver brighter images with less noise.
That doesn't mean we won't see better selfie results though, as Samsung can improve the quality of photos and videos with software and a processor. Nevertheless, it seems that we should not expect a spectacular improvement next year. The final results will depend on how the company uses the available optimization opportunities.
