Early next year, we expect the latest version of the "budget" iPhone SE 4. It will be launched with some major changes.
According to tweet by independent developer Nguyen Phi Hung, unlike iPhone SE 3, which was released in 2022 and was based on iPhone 8, iPhone SE 4 will be based on iPhone 13. This means it will be the first iPhone SE to feature an OLED panel, notch, and Face ID.
Hung says the screen will be 6.1 inches - compared to the 4.7-inch display on the previous model - and will have a 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood of the iPhone SE 4 will be the Apple A16 Bionic processor, currently used to power the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The Snapdragon X70 5G modem system, used in the iPhone 15 series, will also be used. iPhone SE 4 will be equipped with the Apple U1 Ultra Wideband chip, which provides more precise AirTag tracking.

The device will have 6 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/512 GB of NVMe flash memory. Communication is handled by Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and a USB-C port with a speed of 2.0. The single rear camera on the back of the iPhone SE 4 will feature a 12MP Sony IMX503 image sensor and an f/1.8 aperture. The device does not support night mode, but the photography functions include 1080p cinema mode, deep fusion, intelligent HDR, AI photography and portrait mode.
The battery will be a cell with a capacity of over 3000 mAh (some sources say it may be a 3279 mAh battery) with 20 W wired charging, but the phone will also support 12 W wireless charging. iPhone SE 4 will have dimensions of 148.5 x 71.2 x 7.8 mm and weighed 166 g. A 7000 series aluminum alloy will be used to produce the housing, and the front and back will be made of glass. Unfortunately, the device will not have Ceramic Shield, which Apple uses to protect its latest flagship phones.
