The mid-range Vivo V40e and Vivo V40 Lite in two variants have just been released. Let's see what they offer and at what price.
The 4G and 5G variants of smartphones sometimes differ significantly, but in the case of the Vivo V40 Lite 4G and Vivo V40 Lite 5G, things are simpler. The Vivo V40 Lite 4G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 processor, while the Vivo V40 Lite 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. The LTE-limited variant is also the only one available in Pearl Violet, while both smartphones are available in Titanium Silver and Carbon Black. Other than that, the two models offer identical mid-range specs.

The Vivo V40e is the best equipped of the three smartphones presented today, resembling the more expensive Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro 5G models in terms of appearance. Its camera setup is slightly more modest than the more expensive variants, but we won't find useless cameras here - there is a 50 Mpx selfie camera on the front, and a 50 Mpx main camera and an 8 Mpx ultra-wide-angle camera on the back. The Vivo V40e display is a 6.67-inch OLED with FHD+ resolution, 4500 nits peak brightness and 120 Hz refresh rate, and its battery has a capacity of 5500 mAh and charges at 80 W. The heart of the smartphone is the Mediatek Dimensity 7300 processor accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal memory, which unfortunately cannot be expanded with a microSD card. The set is completed by Android 14 with FuntouchOS 14.
The Vivo V40e will hit stores in India on October 2, and you can pre-order it now. The smartphone is available in Mint Green and Royal Bronze colour options, as well as two memory options - the 8+128GB variant is priced at Rs 28,999 ($350, €310), while the 8+256GB version is priced at Rs 30,999 ($370, €330).
