Honor will soon treat the world to an affordable smartphone with a large battery. What will the Honor X7e bring?
The Honor X7e has so far appeared in Saudi Arabia, as reported by Roland Quandt. The smartphone is priced there at 949 rials, which is $255. The offer will include variants with 6+128 and 6+256 GB of storage, which aren't necessarily a good value at this price. The rest doesn't look great either, considering the price. The smartphone has a 6.61-inch TFT screen with HD+ resolution and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. A 50-megapixel main camera is mounted on the back, supported by an additional 5-megapixel sensor, likely for wide-angle shots. A minijack and stereo speakers are also visible. A 7500 mAh battery is a definite plus. The processor powering the smartphone is currently unknown, but it is based on two Cortex-A75 cores clocked at 2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz. This description suggests a chip from the Unisoc range or the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra. Overall, the smartphone bears some resemblance to the Honor Play 80 Plus, so it's possible this is a variant for select markets. The Honor X7e will be available in three body colours.
