Huawei today introduced the extensive Nova 16 smartphone series. It consists of four models: Nova 16, Nova 16z, Nova 16 Pro, and Nova 16 Ultra.
The Huawei Nova 16 series models are distinguished by their original styling, although they are not identical. They differ in appearance, but each is unique and offered in interesting colours.
Huawei Nova 16z
Huawei Nova 16z is the cheapest model in the family. It has a Kirin 8020 processor and a 6.77-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, along with 2160 Hz PWM dimming. The smartphone is powered by a 6000 mAh battery that charges at 100 W. The main camera is 50-megapixel, and next to it is a 12-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens and an RYYB sensor, optical image stabilization, and a Red Maple colour sensor. The package is completed by a 50-megapixel selfie camera, stereo speakers, satellite connectivity, NFC, and an infrared transmitter. The 12+256GB variant costs 2,699 yuan, while the 12+512GB variant costs 3,199 yuan. This translates to $400 and $475.

Huawei Nova 16
The main model in the Huawei Nova 16 series has a slightly different styling, with a camera island adorned with two circles. This model features a similar camera setup to the Nova 16z, but the entry-level Nova 16 has a larger 7000 mAh battery, still with 100-watt charging. Powering this model is the Kirin 9010S processor, and the OLED screen measures 6.68 inches, has a resolution of 2800 x 1280 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 2160 Hz PWM dimming. The housing is IP65-rated. This model is available with 12+256 GB and 12+512 GB of storage, priced at 2999 and 3499 yuan. Converted, these translate to $445 and $520.

Huawei Nova 16 Pro
Huawei Nova 16 Pro has a similar design to the base model, but with two dark circles on the camera bay. We again see a 7000 mAh battery with 100W charging, but this time with a larger, 6.84-inch screen with a resolution of 2856 x 1320 pixels and an LTPO 1+120 Hz refresh rate. The screen still features 2160 Hz PWM dimming and Kunlun Glass. At the heart of this model is the Kirin 9010S processor. In the photography department, we have a 200-megapixel main camera and two 50-megapixel cameras: one with a periscope telephoto lens and one with a wide-angle macro lens. There's also a 50-megapixel selfie camera with an additional color sensor. This model is IP65-rated and comes in the following variants:

- 12 GB + 1 TB - 4999 yuan, $740

Huawei Nova 16 Ultra
The top-of-the-line Huawei Nova 16 Ultra is very similar to the Pro variant, with the same screen, battery, and processor, but it has been enhanced with 50W inductive charging and reverse charging. We also have higher water resistance ratings, IP68 and IP69. The Ultra model also has a slightly different camera setup, including a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel wide-angle and macro camera, and a periscope telephoto camera with a 50-megapixel RYYB sensor. The Red Maple colour sensor completes the package. Like the Pro, the Ultra also has an infrared emitter and the same memory options:
