Today marks the launch of Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro. What do the Chinese brand's new semi-flagships offer?
Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro feature similar styling, but the base model has a plastic body, while the Pro version has a metal frame. The smartphones feature fashionable, flat sides, flat screens with rounded corners, and distinctive, square, "kitchen-style" camera islands. The casings are dust- and waterproof with an IP68 rating, and the screens are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. Both are equipped with stereo speakers, infrared emitters, and under-screen fingerprint readers. Of course, they also feature NFC and eSIM. Both models also share the same operating system: Android 16 with Xiaomi's proprietary HyperOS 3 overlay. The base model will receive four system updates, and the Pro variant five. Both will also receive security patches for six years.
