Motorola Edge (2026) - a compact model, unfortunately only for the US

Motorola's American branch has introduced a new smartphone from the Edge series that could be a hit in our country... but it won't. The Motorola Edge (2026) is a model exclusive to the US market...

It's a bit of a shame that the Motorola Edge (2026) won't be available in Europe in this form, as it could appeal to users looking for a compact, mid-range smartphone. This model features a 6.3-inch Extreme OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and high brightness of up to 5200 nits. The display (covered by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i) retains the powerful specifications found in other Edge models, but is smaller than those found in the others. The Motorola Edge (2026) features a MediaTek Dimensity 7450 processor, supported by 8 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which can be further allocated for virtual RAM.

The operating system is Android 16, which will only receive three updates. The smartphone has three 50-megapixel cameras:

Selfie with an f/1.95 aperture and 0.64 μm pixels
Sony LYTIA 710 main camera with optical image stabilization, an f/1.8 aperture, and 1 μm pixels
Wide-angle camera with a 122-degree field of view, an f/2.0 aperture, and 0.64 μm pixels, along with Macro Vision

The setup is completed by a 10-megapixel rear camera with a 3x telephoto lens, 1 μm pixels, an f/2.0 aperture, and optical image stabilization (OIS). It also includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 60-watt charging and 15-watt induction. All of this is housed in a 152.3 x 71.98 x 7.22 mm case with IP68/69 water resistance. The phone weighs 160.5 g. The smartphone is currently available in a single color – green – for $599. Unfortunately, there are no plans to sell it outside the US, although there's a chance a similar design will appear in Poland under a different name.
