Vivo clearly lacked someone to come up with new smartphone names, as the new Y31s 5G has appeared in Malaysia, which... shares the same name as the 2021 smartphone!
This year's Y31s 5G features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, supported by 8GB of 256GB of memory – and for now, this is the only variant of this model. The smartphone has a 6.745-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution, although the refresh rate is not specified. However, it is stated that it can reach a brightness of up to 1050 nits, and its shape, with a noticeably thicker bezel at the bottom, indicates that it is an LCD screen. A 32-megapixel selfie camera sits atop the bezel, while a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera are located on the back. The smartphone is powered by a 6500 mAh battery with 44-watt charging, and features include a powerful speaker and NFC. Two color options are available, and the price is just under 1,500 ringgit, or $370.
