Xiaomi has today unveiled its flagship smartphones in China, featuring new Snapdragon processors. Meet Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max!

The Xiaomi 18 Pro series smartphones share the same design and color options. In addition to four standard colors, both models will be available in a special red version featuring a semi-transparent back panel. The devices boast additional rear displays with expanded functionality, ultra-slim front bezels (less than a millimeter wide), a metal frame, and the HyperOS 4.0 system. Both models feature LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, as well as stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and a USB-C 3.2 port. They differ in terms of size, processors, and battery capacity.

Xiaomi 18 Pro

Xiaomi 18 Pro is, of course, the "smaller" one. It features a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2436x1120 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and brightness ranging from 1 to 4000 nits. The display utilizes M11 luminescent material, supports 12-bit color, and holds certifications for Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, HDR Vivid, and Zreal. The secondary rear display measures 2.7 inches diagonally with a resolution of 912x596 pixels, while sharing similar refresh rate and brightness specifications with the front screen. Xiaomi 18 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor and a 7000 mAh battery supporting 100W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 27W reverse charging. The camera setup begins with a 50-megapixel selfie camera, while the main camera is a 200-megapixel unit featuring a 1/1.28-inch sensor and an optically stabilized lens (CIPA 7.0) with an f/1.67 aperture and a 23mm focal length. OIS is also present in the second 200-megapixel camera, which has a 1/1.56-inch sensor, an f/2.4 aperture, and 3.2x optical zoom (100x digital). The final rear camera is a 50-megapixel unit with a wide-angle lens featuring a 17mm focal length, an f/2.4 aperture, and a 102-degree field of view. Both the telephoto and wide-angle cameras can capture macro shots, though from different distances—12 cm and 5 cm, respectively. The smartphone supports rear video recording in 8K at 30 fps and 4K at up to 120 fps, while the front camera supports 4K at up to 60 fps.

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max

Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is naturally larger, featuring a 6.9-inch front display with a resolution of 2624x1208 pixels and a 2.9-inch rear display with a resolution of 976x596 pixels. The refresh rate and brightness are the same as in the base model, as is the entire camera setup. The difference lies in the main camera, which additionally features LOFIC technology, extending the dynamic range to 16.2 EV. However, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme processor and—naturally—packs a larger 8,500 mAh battery, though it charges at the same speeds as the Pro model.

Prices of the new Xiaomi models

Both models are offered in the same memory configurations, and interestingly, the prices differ by exactly one thousand yuan:
